Sports, Hobbies and Experiences
We strive to develop the students’ physical strength and building of character through various sports, hobbies and experiences.

Table tennis tournament is a good opportunity to test the results of everyday practice.
Curling done on mats. Some people participate from outside the prefecture to local district tournaments.
We play at the nearby school gym when we have bad weather. There’s so much to do at the school gym — vaulting box, basketball, rokumushi, dodgeball etc.
We participate in many marathons like cross-country race, regional tournaments, and fitness marathons.
Ekiden tournament, which is held once a year, is a good opportunity to see the students growing faster every year.
Everyone can enjoy playing ground golf, irrespective of age or sex, because it has easier rules than golf. However, you may need ability to concentrate.
Playing in the River
On hot summer days, playing in the river is the best. Swimming, diving, splashing water on each other.
Black Bass Fishing
Black bass fishing is the main activity in summer. Many students enjoy the tug, causing them to be crazy for black bass fishing.
Fishing at Sea
It’s very fun to fish at sea, being able to fish different kinds of fish depending on the season.
Casting net to catch ayu. Teamwork is a must.
Each student grows and harvests vegetables in their own garden. Organic, pesticide-free vegetables grown themselves are something special.
Experiencing how to thresh wheat.
Bread Baking Experience
Students experience kneading and shaping the dough. Tasting the bread after being baked is something to look forward to.
Once every three weeks, each group take turns to cook. It’s a good opportunity to practice what each student learned from their everyday chores. Group members decide themselves the menu, procedure, roles and responsibilities.
